Childrens Social Work Service sits within Northumberlands Wellbeing and Community Health Services Directorate. it consists of; - Front Door service- 4 Locality Safeguarding Teams - 14+ Team - Childrens Disability Team - Family placement Service The role Rated Good by Ofsted, we are looking for experienced social workers with post qualification experience within a social work role or social workers who have successfully completed the ASYE Programme. These social workers will be committed professionals, determinedto deliver an excellent service to vulnerable individuals within our communities. Current opportunities are available within our Locality Safeguarding Teams in Blyth, Berwick, and Bedlington. There are also opportunities within our Front Door (Based in Bedlington).Please note - Northumberland is geographically vast however Locality Teams work within their particular areas and we have a Front Door Duty system in Berwick and Hexham which picks up Duty visits/tasks within those 2 respective areas, therefore travel is actuallyminimal. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to make decisions and plans with children and their families; utilising the Signs of Safety approach.
