Job Description

Are you a Hardware Design Engineer and open to new opportunities This is hands on permanent position for a Hardware Design Engineer offering a competitve salary could be just the right role for you!The companyThey are a relatively small company based in Northumberland who specialise in the construction industry, commissioning operations internationally. They are looking for an Electronics / Hardware Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. The team is small yet very dynamic consisting around 9 other Engineers, therefore there will be ample opportunity for the successful Hardware Design Engineer to further develop their skills and expertise and gain greater autonomy over your work.Hardware Design Engineer roleThe role will involve hands on hardware design and R&D on a day to day basis working on a variety of different projects including the companies own manufacturing in addition to supporting production. The client can also offer exposure to embedded firmware applications.Hardware Design Engineer skills required

  • Minimum 3 years industry experience working on a variety of projects (mixture of both analogue and design experience)
  • Strong PCB Design experience (preferably Cadstar but any package is ok as long as you are able to adapt)
  • Mechanical background would be nice to have but isn’t necessary
  • Software or firmware experience would be beneficial but are by no means essential
  • Interview process for the Hardware Design Engineer position:For suitable Hardware Design Engineers who are based locally the interview process would begin with a face to face interview (Covid-19 circumstances depending) although an initial telephone interview can be arranged for candidates from further afield.
