Job Description

We are recruiting for a Continous Improvement Lead to join a fantastic, well established and growing business based in Northumberland.Fantastic working hours, even better benefits & competitive salary.As well experienced, Continous Improvment Lead, you’ll take be dynamic, agile, be able to work strategically, as well taking a hands on approach. You’ll have genuine autonomy in this role to add value, influence and implement new initiatives.The role of Continous Improvment Lead

  • Taking ownership and responsibility for departmental budget and forecasting.
  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of best practice operational excellence and production engineering;
  • Planning vision, strategy, policies and processes
  • Establishing short and long term strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Tracking and validating all improvements and savings (P&L impact, cost avoidance)
  • Developing and executing an overall Operations Excellence strategy
  • Developing reporting and tracking mechanisms for business productivity progress and opportunity identification
  • Driving operational excellence and production engineering excellence throughout the team
  • Driving continuous improvement activities in quality, cycle times, process improvement, machine availability through lean techniques and value engineering to enhance the capability of existing processes and remove waste
  • Driving validation plans to ensure robust and comprehensive technical solutions
  • Providing technical inputs to bids for new business and facilitating successful outcomes
  • Developing and maintaining project plans and budget profiles to ensure delivery of milestones to agreed cost targets and timescales
  • Identifying business improvement opportunities within the organisation
  • Execute process improvement programs using concepts such as Lean and Six Sigma tools such as DMAIC, Gemba, Kaizen, A3 thinking, Control Charts, Value Stream Analysis, 5S, Error Proofing, Visual Management
About you:
  • You will ideally have a business degree with Lean Six Sigma black belt or Master Black Belt certification
  • You’ll be experienced applying lean principles.
  • You’ll have a proven track record of Track record of success in the rigorous planning, execution and timely delivery of enterprise level projects and programs.
  • You’ll be a true team player able to build relationships and confidently influence across the business.
