Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Talent Administrator to join South Yorkshire Police at their HQ in Northallerton. This is a temporary role. The role is hybrid with the following working hours: Flexible between office hours of Mon to Thurs 8.30-5pm andFri 8.30-4.30pmPLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO POLICE VETTING CRITERIA YOU MUST HAVE BEEN RESIDING WITHIN THE UK FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS CONTINUOUSLY UP TO AND INCLUDING DATE OF APPLICATION.You would be working in the Talent Acquisition Team - this is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced in-house recruitment team providing services to North Yorkshire Police (NYP), North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (NYFRS) and the Officeof the Police, Fire & Crime Commissioner (OPFCC).As a Talent Acquisition Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting our team of Recruiters and administering the on-boarding of a diverse range of talent. With a significant focus on customer service, you will act as a point of contact for recruitmentand on-boarding enquiries.This is a fast paced and rewarding administrative role, supporting in the day-to-day co-ordination of key recruitment campaigns for 2 emergency services.Other duties and responsibilities will include:You will administer the onboarding of candidates, including pre-employment clearances and new starter documentation.You will be point of contact supporting candidates and hiring managers throughout on-boarding process.You will be responsible for the accurate recording of information on systems (such as our Applicant Tracking System) as well as the provision of advice and information to managers.You will effectively build and maintain relationships with a range of cross functional teams which support the on-boarding process of all new hires including; payroll, vetting, clothing, occupational health and ICT teams.We are therefore seeking a strong Administrator, with drive and motivation. You will be passionate about delivering the best possible results, whilst building rapport and engaging with candidates and hiring managers. Were seeking candidates with the followingskills and experience:Administration experience with high level of attention to detailExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsExcellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and other digital platformsA self-starter with strong organisational skills who can prioritise work to achieve tight deadlinesWere looking for strong administration and customer service skills, someone who is proactive with a real willingness to learn.
