Job Description

We are looking for a professional individual to join our well-established client in Northallerton who are currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team.Your duties as the successful Logistics Coordinator include:

  • Plan, schedule and process deliveries
  • Optimise/ coordinate routes to maximise efficiency and drive down costs
  • Provide solutions and contingency plans for any delivery issues
  • Communicate with Commercial, Operations and Production divisions to ensure plans are achievable
  • Process all relevant transport documents and dangerous goods documentation
  • Import clearance for bulk tanker collections from mainland Europe
  • Exporting of goods and all related customs requirements
  • Raising of purchase orders for all third-party suppliers
  • Inventory management
  • Tracking order patterns and highlighting any variances
  • Compiling and communicating weekly / monthly KPI reports
What you need to showcase:
  • Ability to maintain control in a busy, fast paced working environment
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft software
  • Previous experience in planning and coordinating deliveries using 3rd party haulage providers (international experience an advantage)
  • Experience within a multi drop logistics environment and utilisation of route planning & scheduling software packages would be desirable
  • Experience with MRP systems / Logistics systems e.g. Paragon / Fleetboard (desirable)
  • Professional appearance, always represents the business well
As the successful Logistics Coordinator you will be rewarded with an annual salary between £26,000 - £30,000 per annum plus company benefits such as: flexibility around childcare commitments, pension scheme, life insurance, wellness programme and free onsite parking.
