Job Description

Role: Customer Service Administrator Location: HatfieldSalary: Circa £24,000 per annum (depending on experience)Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am until 4:30pmAre you an enthusiastic, positive and personable individual Do you have experience working in an office-based customer service role Are you confident in understanding product measurements including size and weight If this sounds like you, then please read on!Our client, a specialist manufacturer and distributor, is looking for a methodical and proficient Customer Service Administrator to join their team. You will need to be confident in communicating with people at all levels, have excellent administration skills and enjoy the satisfaction that comes with helping customers. This role would suit somebody who takes an interest in the growth of the business and is always looking out for ways in which processes can be improved.Main Responsibilities of the Customer Service Administrator:

  • Answering incoming calls and emails, acting as the first point of contact for clients
  • Meeting and greeting visitors
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Handling and resolving client queries in a timely manner
  • Entering and processing customer orders
  • Preparing quotes for customers, and following up when necessary
  • Assisting the sales department with client account management
  • Updating the database on a regular basis
  • Providing suggestions with the aim of improving existing procedures and practices to ensure efficiency
  • Supporting the team with other ad hoc duties
  • Successful Candidate for the Customer Service Administrator role:
  • Previous experience in an office-based customer service role
  • An understanding of order processing or customer service based software (e.g. CRM system or Order Management Software)
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to understand measurements and sizing of products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised, attention to detail and capable prioritising a busy workload
  • Energetic and proactive with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
