Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Supply Chain Planner to join our team based in Newport. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £21,000 - £23,000 per annum plus great company benefits. JZ Flowers is a family business; although weve grown to be a large international business with annual revenues of around £150m, the Company still has an entrepreneurial family culture, and we really strive to keep this identity in our rapidlygrowing business.Like many family businesses we pride ourselves on having strong values and ours are firmly built around our people, we value our relationships with our colleagues, and this is evidenced by the many long-standing employees who have developed their careerswith us and contributed greatly to our success.The Supply Chain Planner role:As our Supply Chain Planner your role will be to support the packaging buying team to assist stock management of Packaging & Consumables through short- and long-term planning.Responsibilities/skills were looking for in our Supply Chain Planner:

  • Maintain inventoryverify current inventory and keep Vision up to dateover multiple sites in the UK and Ireland
  • Responsible for carrying out analysis of stock take from the Stock control team
  • Place orders with current suppliers
  • Maintain stock management in collaboration with all sites in the UK and Ireland
  • Be aware of critical path timelines and inventory levels and identify issues/discrepancies
  • Effectively cover the basic day to day jobs of the packaging buying team. (Holidays, Annual leave,)
  • Gather all information from account management and production planning team to create Packaging overviews
  • Attend meetings with other departments to maintain internal communications and ascertain customer requirements
  • Undertake and support packaging related projects as directed by the members of the buying teams for UK and Netherlands
  • Execute various administrative tasks within packaging buying team
What were looking for in our Supply Chain Planner:
  • PC skills e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Knowledge of Vision system or other ERP based program
  • Customers specifications and quality requirements
Other considerations:
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am16:30pm (Occasional weekend work may be required due to holiday cover and Peak periods)
  • Annual Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays
  • Own transport is essential
