Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Line Leader to join our team based just West of Hull. You will join us on full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £10.91 per hour plus benefits. Working hours: Continental shift pattern, 12 hours a day 06.30am to 7pmJZ Flowers is a family business; although weve grown to be a large international business with annual revenues of around £110m, the Company still has an entrepreneurial family culture, and we really strive to keep this identity in our rapidlygrowing business.As our Line Leader, you will support the Production Managers and colleagues, promoting more efficient ways of working.What youll be doing as our Line Leader:

  • Ensuring sufficient quantities of raw material are available in advance of Production.
  • Monitoring the production of all types of bouquets and plants to ensure the specifications required by the Customer are achieved consistently.
  • Communication with the Managers on the efficient operation of the production line.
  • Coaching the production employees: motivating, supporting, instructing as required.
  • Visual checking of the flowers, packaging, and finished products on the production line to ensure they meet customer specification.
  • Noticing quality deviations and discuss this with the Production/Quality Managers.
  • Competent with Administration, specification, work sheets required.
  • Ensuring regular production checks are made on Labels/Sleeves and Specifications.
  • Ensuring the efficient running of the Production Line.
  • Discuss issues concerning production lines, employees, quality etc with the Production Managers.
  • Planning performance reviews in conjunction with the Production Managers.
  • Attend applicable meetings.
  • Comply with the Company rules and regulations as detailed within the Company Handbook.

  • Product KnowledgeVarieties of flowers, greenery and other floral products including packaging.
  • PC Skills in relation to Microsoftin particular ACCESS.
  • Customers specifications and quality requirements.
  • Storage and handling of products.
  • Production process, BPMH, line operations.
  • English levelAdvance.
  • Good Communication, Organization and Leadership qualities.
  • Procedures and work methods.
