Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Despatch Supervisor (Logistics) to join our team based just West of Hull. You will join us on full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £26,480 per annum plus Contributory Pension Scheme.Working hours: 4 on 4 off, 06:0018:00pm, additional as the needs of the business requireJZ Flowers is a family business; although weve grown to be a large international business with annual revenues of around £110m, the Company still has an entrepreneurial family culture, and we really strive to keep this identity in our rapidlygrowing business.The role:As our Despatch Supervisor, you will organise and supervise the logistics team - Despatch operatives and duties on shift, ensure customer orders are met and targets are achieved, working in conjunction with other departments when necessary.What youll be doing as our Despatch Supervisor:

  • Lead and supervise a team of operatives for the duration of the shift
  • Organise loading and securing of vehicles for deliveries to all customers
  • Maintaining good stock rotation of finished goods
  • Processing daily orders / load plans and sales orders ready for despatch
  • Checking stock levels and reporting variances to relevant departments
  • Communicate with haulage companies to organise outgoing goods
  • Comply with health and safety regulations
  • Work safely and efficiently when carrying out processes to meet despatch deadlines
  • Use previous experience to Drive and develop the team
  • Support on other logistic duties as required
  • Comply with the Company rules and regulations as detailed within the Company Handbook

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Good leadership skills
  • Electric wheels trained
  • English LevelAdvance
  • FIFO knowledge

Desirable
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience on Vision or other WMS systems
  • Counterbalance forklift
