Together with their partners they work to optimise the total supply chain, in which the main priority is the quality of the product.Demand Planner - reporting to the Planning ManagerWe are looking to recruit an experienced Demand Planner to join the planning team. This is a fast-moving production environment, so we need someone who is used to and FMGC environment and the challenges of planning in such environments. This is an exciting and a rewarding role, you will be interacting with a variety of departments and managing information that is key to the success of our business.Primary functions:*Analyse historical data along with other information to create a demand forecast*Create planning schedules for several lines based on the current stock levels and customer orders*Instruct production and buying teams on any changes to production plans caused by order changes*Maintain the accuracy of forecast on the companys MRP system, react to changes in demand and act where necessary.*Manage forecasts for a few SKUs and the introduction of new SKU and phase out the obsolete*Analyse customer order fluctuation and provide a demand plan for products manufactured over multiple Production sites*Generate long and short-term capacity plans*Ensure the latest finished goods demand plan is reflected in MRP to ensure customer demand is met*Proactively identify, communicate, and follow up on significant trends and demand changes to achieve an optimum raw material and finished goods stock holding*Work closely with key stake holders (commercial, production and buying teams etc) to ensure that all orders met and delivered OTIFResponsibilities:*Accurately forecast for production across multiple Production facilities*Manage the demand function to ensure optimum RM and FG stock levels*Develop upon the current demand forecast and improve forecast accuracy further*Mange New Product Launches (NPLs) and Delists, taking great care to communicate all upcoming changes to key stake holders across the UK.*Clearly and comprehensively understand Production capacity and how-to tailor demand around this*Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives*Comply with the Company rules and regulations as detailed within the Company handbookKnowledge and skills:Essential skills:*Able to well work under pressure*Excellent time Management*Self-motivated*Able to work well as a team and individually*Strong organisational skills*Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership qualities.*IT skills and an excellent working knowledge of MS Excel.*English level: Advanced*Excellent attention to detail*Minimum of 2 years previous experience within FMCG in a similar role*Versatile*ResilientDesirable skills:*Be driven and ambitious with a keen will to succeed*Experience with ERP systems*Experience with Vision*Understanding of Continuous Improvement and DMAICOther Considerations:Salary scale: Competitive & Contributory Pension SchemeAnnual leave: 30 Days including bank holidays, 1 day added per annum up to 33Other Benefits: Death in Service, Critical Illness Cover, Discretionary bonus entryCore Working Hours: Monday-Friday(Office Hours)Weekend/Holiday Cover: A successful candidate must be flexible and meet the needs of the business for holiday cover and weekend cover as and when required during peak periods.Peak Periods:Christmas (+1 week either side of the event)Valentines (+1 week either side of the event)Mothers Day (+1 week either side of the event)Easter (+1 week either side of the event)Peak Working Hours: Additional as the needs of the business requireIf you believe you have the skills and personality to fit these requirements, please get in touch with Rob Newell at .Get in touch with Henderson Brown today to view all of our current food jobs and fresh produce jobs as well as to find out more about our horticulture, fresh produce, and food recruitment services.
