Job Description

I have an exciting opportunity that has just arisen with freight forwarder based in Basildon,please see below a little about the role and what would be expected of you if you were to obtain the role.Main Duties

Quoting for and supervising of all relevant bookings

Creating jobs in the company Freight Management System

Invoicing for department in a timely manner

Liaise with accounts department with any sales/cost queries.

Assisting the Line Manager & Directors in identifying and developing of new accounts/business lanes

Ensuring that clients satisfaction is met and if possible exceeded

Working with the Line Manager & Directors to create and achieve departmental and personal budgets

Assisting in managing key Airfreight & Sea Freight Accounts and being involved periodic meeting with the clients

Working within and in accordance with rules governing a known agent and their relevant status

Skills Required

Extensive general knowledge of all aspects of shipping with specific knowledge of dealing with Letters of Credits and Consular documentation

Communication with our extensive network of supplier contacts, both domestic and overseas within the Air, sea and road Cargo industry which will allow for effective and efficient purchase of services.
