Job Description

Toolroom EngineerNorfolk Commutable from - Great Yarmouth, Norwich, Attleborough, Diss, Dereham, Lowestoft, Bungay£30,000 - £35,000Monday-Friday - Alternating 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pmOur client is a leading plastics packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading standards. Due to continued growth they are looking for a Toolroom Engineer, to come on board to support existing operations apart of their day shift team. Role & Responsibilities:*Carry out maintenance, cleaning, repair and servicing of Injection Moulds to ensure that tools are working to maximum capacity, with minimum disruption*Toolmaking for various injection moulding machinery*Check tolerances of parts to make sure they are within specification *Use CNC mills and manual mills to machine components*Make sure hydraulic & pneumatic systems on tools are working effectively *Carry out visual inspections, replace parts, carry out checks, cleaning & lubrication*Milling, turning & grinding to ensure there are no scratches or dints Knowledge, Skills & Experience:*Must have plastics industry experience *Excellent toolmaking skills*Must have completed a time-served-apprenticeship*City & Guilds Level 3 Mechanical Manufacturing - Milling, Turning & Grinding *Experience of working with plastics moulds and injection moulding machinery*Flexible person, able to work additional hours and some weekend work when needed*Physically fit and able to lift up to 10KG*Worked on hydraulics & pneumatics*Have used CMM equipment to check tolerances of tools *Hands-on experience of operating turning, milling & CNC equipment *Desirable to be able to TiG weld *Able to read mechanical drawings, problem solve & fault find independently*Mechanical competency to repair & fit componentsShifts & Benefits Package:*Shift:-Monday - Friday - Week 1:- 6am-2pm / Week 2:- 2pm-10pm *Salary:- £30,000-£35,000 + Regular Overtime*Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 25 Days Holiday, Medical/Health Services, Free Parking Job Reference No: SE17258 / 614If you are interested in this role or looking for something similar please contact our Managing Consultant, Chris Gumm. directly at or call them for a confidential discussion on .
