Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds.Role ResponsibilityThe Norfolk Highways Maintenance contract requires a Supervisor to work in a busy environment delivering highway maintenance works to Norfolk County Council. Responsibilities within this role will include:

  • Managing a workforce and reporting directly to the Site Agent
  • Supervising a rage of Highway maintenance works including works such as groundworks, drainage, kerbing, concreting and asphalting
  • Adhering to company Health and Safety procedures at all times and encouraging others to do so
  • Ensuring that works are delivered within programme, in a safe manner, and that commercial targets are met
  • The ideal candidateThe ideal candidate will have extensive experience of working within Highways Maintenance. They will:
  • Have ideally obtained a CSCS and NRSWA qualification
  • Previous of experience of managing a team would be beneficial
  • Be knowledgeable of Highways Maintenance responsibilities and be able to relay this to the team
  • Be able to work independently but also as part of a team
  • Be motivated
  • Be IT literate
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence
  • Have a flexible working approach
