Senior Buyer Norfolk Commutable from - Norwich, Snetterton, Wymondham, Swaffham, Eye, Thetford, Bury St. Edmunds£40,000-£50,000 Our client is a leading livestock processing, production & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading UK standards. Due to growth and further expansion at the site, they are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to come on board and lead the existing team.Role & Responsibilities:*Will be responsible for playing a lead role in supplier negotiation and purchasing within the company*A very hands-on buying role, dealing with all aspects of procurement and inventory control*Manage stock levels, and purchase in line with customer demand*Undertake regular supplier review meetings, ensuring business objectives are met *Liaising with alternative suppliers where supply issues arise*Managing, supporting and developing a buyer team member day-to-day*Reviewing and expediting stock delivery dates accordingly*Provide monthly reports against KPIs, identifying the successes and challenges*Constantly reviewing process and recommending areas for improvement*Develop a price variance tracker and generation of department KPIs*Monitoring and ensuring the fulfilment of sales forecastsKnowledge, Skills & Experience:*Experience of working as a senior buyer in a busy food manufacturing environment *Must have at least 5 years leadership experience in a Senior Buyer position*A hunger to succeed, passionate, driven and enthusiastic*Have a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into all areas of the business*Ideally have a CIPS qualification *Be a strong communicator, both with suppliers, internal teams & presentational skills*Good financial / commercial and analytical skills*Ideally have worked within the meat / poultry industry in the past*Buying / supplier negotiation skillsShifts & Benefits Package:*Salary:- £40,000-£50,000*Benefits:- Pension, 20 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays, Staff Discounts, Free ParkingJob Reference No: CG18596 / 900Suitable candidates should apply immediately by calling our Managing Consultant for this vacancy - Chris Gumm on or by sending your CV directly to him at We regret that this client is not prepared to sponsor work permit or work permit transfer applications.
