Job Description

An opportunity has become available for someone with previous security experience to join a leading nationwide organisation as a Security Assistant, to cover night shifts. The purpose of your role will be overseeing the safety & security of guests within the centre, ensuring any requests during the night shift are actioned and reporting any incident appropriately.Your duties will include:

  • Ensuring the security of buildings and guests within the centre.
  • Acting as a point of contact for guests, handling any queries that arise.
  • Carrying out first aid when needed, consulting emergency services where necessary.
  • Dealing with any on-site intruders.
  • Coordinating any fire evacuations.
  • Actively monitoring security cameras across the site.
  • Carrying out cleaning duties including laundry.
  • Recording and reporting any incident accurately and appropriately.
  • Reporting comments, complaints and problems to the Duty Manager.
You will have/be:
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Up to date first aid training is essential.
  • Full of integrity as youll be responsible for the security of the site and people.
  • Agile enough to adapt to rapidly changing situations and collaborative in managing issues as they arise
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills.
  • Excellent team working skills.
  • Organised with the ability to work from own initiative.
This position is on a temporary basis, working 7:30pm-8:30am with shifts available Monday-Sunday. This role offers a salary of £10-£10.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
