Production Manager Norfolk Commutable from - Norwich, Snetterton, Wymondham, Swaffham, Eye, Thetford, Bury St. Edmunds£40,000Monday - Friday Days (Flexitime) Our client is a leading livestock processing, production & packaging manufacturer, with a reputation for product quality which is second to none and industry leading UK standards.Due to continued growth they are looking for an experienced Production Manager to come onboard and lead all factory, process, production & packaging operations.Role & Responsibilities:*Will be responsible for the smooth running of the production shift on a day-to-day basis*Drive long term production & factory improvements*Reporting into the Factory Manager and deputise in their absence*Hands-on production management in a fast-paced environment *Responsible for direct supervisors/line leaders and X60 production operatives & despatch team*Accountability for the teams delivery against all departmental KPis, highlighting potential risks and identifying solutions*Responsible for health & safety, quality, labour and waste *Managing and coaching production team to be highly effective in their roles - performance reviews, identify and create training plans & deliver*Look at areas to reduce labour spend but keep product quality high*Motivate and supervise the team day-to-day*Deliver shift briefs, with focus on quality, cost & delivery of product Knowledge, Skills & Experience:*Must be a hands-on production manager*Have previous experience of working in poultry processing & manufacturing*Good understanding of technical & quality aspects of food production *Have an open mind to change and improvement*A strong personality with fresh ideas *Flexible to working hours, sometimes longer days and weekend work when needed*Previously have managed a large production team*Knowledge and understanding of production line equipment i.e. changeovers & set-up*Able to multi-task, be reliable, organised and flexible approach*Knowledge and experience of health & safety, waste reduction, cost & product controlShifts & Benefits Package:*Salary:- £40,000*Hours:-Monday-Friday Days (Flexi-time) *Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 20 Days Holidays + Bank Holidays Job Reference No: SE19693 / 611M"To apply please email your CV / resume to [ ]".If you are interested in this role or looking for something similar please contact our Managing Consultant, Chris Gumm on .
