Job Description

Multi-Skilled Day Shift EngineerNorfolk Commutable from Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Norwich, Bungay, Beccles, Wymondham£42,00012hr Shifts - 4on 4off Days (6am-6pm)Benefits:- Private Pension, Life Assurance, 23 Shift Holidays, Overtime Our client is a leading food manufacturer, that values hard work, teamwork and developing people. They are part of a larger group with multiple sites in the UK, this is for one of their ingredients manufacturing plant, where they are looking fora multi-skilled day shift engineer.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for reactive & planned maintenance across all areas of engineering
  • Electrical & mechanical fault finding / problem solving on machinery/equipment
  • Project work - machine upgrades and new equipment installations
  • Working on heavy duty processing equipment & food production machinery
  • Carry out PPM schedules and update records
  • Maximising efficiencies and production output
  • Take ownership of health & safety working for yourself and machinery
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Must have electrical & mechanical qualifications
  • Ideally a multi-skilled maintenance engineer
  • Comfortable working on old & new kit - some that is heavy duty
  • Working in a close-knit team where everyone helps out in all areas
  • Food / FMCG experience in preferable
  • Ideally apprentice trained or be a time-served maintenance engineer
  • Good organisational and communication skills
  • Able to work well under pressure to strict deadlines
  • Have a proven track record in a similar maintenance engineering role
