Job Description

Deputy Director - Childrens Therapeutic CommunityNonStop are assisting a Childrens Charity as they recruit for a new Deputy Director to join one of their therapeutic communities in Norfolk. The Charity specialised in high quality care, education and treatment for children and young people who have suffered severe emotional trauma, together with expert support for their families, carers and associated professionals.The Deputy Director will be the lead role for the clinical practice and the provision of therapeutic care and treatment. The post holder will partner with the Director in the leadership and management of all services, deputising for them when they are absent. The post holder will line manage 4 Team Leaders who are responsible for around 20 Care Workers.Main duties will include:

  • Ensuring staff understand and apply therapeutic methodology
  • Supporting facilitation of therapeutic group work
  • Provide group clinical supervision to the Team Leaders
  • Assist in the referral and admission processes
  • In the Directors absence, lead the community in all aspects of its operations
  • The role requires someone with a clinical background / recognised therapy qualification.
