We are recruiting for a Support Worker who is wanting to support, enhance, promote independence & inclusion within their role. The role is Based with our client in Kings Lynn, supporting Students with Learning Disabilities.These roles do not come about very often, this is only here due to Retirement.Hours of Work - Monday to Friday 0900hrs -1600hrsRate of Pay £19,000 - £20,000 p.a.Key Responsibilities of post holder- To work as part of an existing team- To assist the students to learn new and existing hobbies / crafts/ subjects- To follow Health & Safety Policies & Procedures as required.- To ensure that the classrooms are clean and tidy- To assist students to reach their full potential during their days at the service- Assisting Students to access days out, shopping, learning and enhancing their lives within the community.- To complete relevant paperwork daily.- To ensure the safety of students and staff at all times.- Due to the Role you are required under Rehabilitation Of Offenders Act 1974 to hold an Enhanced DBS Adult & Child Workforce.About you..- You will have a bubbly personality- You will have hobbies / interests that you want to share with others.- You will be smart / casual in your dress code.- Have a good written and spoken English- Have life skills that you want to share.- Be over the age of 21 years old.Ideally....- Have previously worked as a support worker - but not essential.- Have an Enhanced DBS Adult and Children, on the update service, if you do not have one we can assist you to get one.- Be a driver - not essential as location is on a bus route and is ideally located not far from the main Train Station.
