Job Description

COMPOSITE TECHNICIANTo be responsible for the manufacture of all composite products within organisation. To ensure work undertaken on patterns, carbon moulds, aluminium moulds and components are made to client and customer required specifications, so they can deliver the quality products our customers need, when they need it and On Time in Full (OTIF) whilst always maintaining quality of work and behaviour, thus enabling the company to provide a quality, customer focussed service to internal and external customers.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES* To work within a framework of safety, quality, cost, and delivery in the assembly of interior electronics, always demonstrating the right behaviours in line with the clients vision thus enabling the company to provide a quality, customer focussed service to internal and external customers.* Operate with a Safety-first mindset and report any unsafe situations in line with the company standards.* Operate at high standards of quality that embraces a right first-time culture and eliminates the need for rework.* Pro-actively advise of any pending delays during manufacture in time for any difficulties to be resolved to ensure high-cost efficiency.* To carry out any duties as required by the company to ensure a quality product and service is delivered to customers OTIF.* Operate a high standard of housekeeping with regards to all production documentation, test databases and works order line inspections, in accordance with client documentation procedure.* Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.* Achieve effective continuity of production and agreed deadlines through flexible working patterns as defined in the company standards.* To identify and participate in any training or development which could contribute to your department or company objectives.* To participate in and support a continuous improvement culture through offering suggestions for improvement and implementing for your area - identify and minimise all forms of non-added value tasks / processes in a constructive manner.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEESSENTIAL* Proven experience in the use of Pre-Preg laminating material & processes.* Experience of working to lay up manuals and the with accuracy and attention to detail.* Experience working to strict Visual Quality Standards.* Taking pride in your work and the desire to progress your skills and experience on complex build and projects.* Manual dexterityDESIRABLE* Understanding of Microsoft 365 applications.* Proven working experience of manufacturing composite parts for the automotive sector.* Proven experience working within a business with a pro-active approach to Health & Safety and Environmental awareness.* Experience working with Mechanical Design departments, to assist in taking new composite product development from conception into production.COMPETENCIES* Effective Communication - the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across teams.* Time management - uses time effectively; the ability to prioritise and manage own workload to ensure deadlines are met.* Personal Development - ability to work autonomously and desire to learn new skills and processes.* Meeting deadlines/ commitments - driven to meet own and team deadlines.* Adaptability / flexibility (steadiness under pressure) - able to work under pressure and to deadlines.Advantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
