Assistant Team Manager - CWD OutreachNorfolk, United KingdomPermanent contract | Up to £41,592 per annum (Scale K) | 37 hours per week | Sprowston, NorwichI am Kate Dexter, Assistant Director for Childrens Social Care (Corporate Parenting), I wanted tolet you know about an exciting opportunity here in Norfolk, working with children with additional needs. I am looking for someone who is passionate in improving outcomes for disabled children, and who wants to build and lead a new outreach service for childrenwith disabilities in Norfolk.You will have a Social Work, Nursing or Occupational Therapy qualification (degree or equivalent), a knowledge of challenges that families experiencing disability may face and experience of working with disabled children and theirfamilies. You will lead a team in providing direct care, intervention and support to young people within their own homes, with the aim of preventing family breakdown and young people being accommodated; the service will respond to families experiencing carecrises, supporting them to develop new strategies to manage any behavioural and/or care needs.The outreach service will work across the county with children and young people experiencing learning/physical disabilities and may include those with complex healthneeds and challenging behaviour.You will be a positive role model, supporting and leading a team of practitioners, including providing professional supervision, professional development including planning and implementing training and completing inductionof new staff. You will knowledge and experience of enacting safeguarding procedures.
