Job Description

As an Account Manager you will be selling print and digital advertising solutions to potential advertisers across Norfolk. It’s a busy and challenging role where you are meeting with businesses face to face and really understanding their needs and plans and offering them the best advertising campaign solutions from a wide portfolio of ideas.This is an opportunity to grow the client base in a couple of specialist sectors that are thriving, energy and agriculture. You will need to be relentless at calling and arranging to meet with these customers and presenting to them the many print and digital advertising options that we have available that include SEO, DPM, Facebook, Social Media, video, website and print options.Our well known media brands that include EDP, Evening News and Norwich Extra make us a trusted brand across the county but you need to be confident and comfortable in your sales ability. You’ll know how to close, have great influencing skills and be able to challenge preconceived views in the nicest of ways. You know that you prefer an environment where you are working to targets and have a must win/achieve attitude that will motivate you to on-going success.Finding new opportunities will be irresistible for you whether it’s a lead from our data team or picking up competitor information - you are definitely going to call or drop in and find out more, knowing that when you win the business, you will nurture and grow it.It is essential that you live in Norfolk and can visit potential advertisers on a daily basis with the use of your own car. You will regularly be in our modern town centre offices and the working hours are 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday.PLEASE APPLY IF YOU HAVE:

  • Proven B2B face to face sales background OR B2B phone based experience looking for next career opportunity
  • Advertising/marketing/local media knowledge ideally
  • Proven track record in selling to SMEs/professional businesses
  • Excellent business acumen, able to converse well at all levels
  • Strengths at building networks at functions and through social media
  • Passion/desire to create inspiring campaigns and advertising solutions
