Childrens Residential Support WorkerBladon House School, Newton Solney, Burton Upon Trent. DE15 0TAFull timeSalary: £17,724.72 to £19,833.84 (dependant on qualifications and experience)Other Benefits include: Employee Assistance Programme, 7 weeks holiday, and PensionBladon House School specialises in autism, speech and language disorders, moderate to severe learning difficulties and associated behavioural difficulties.Through our work we also have also developed skills in achieving significant progress and successful outcomes for children and young people with Prader Willi Syndrome.The Role:You will gain experience working within the classroom in our onsite school setting. By providing care and education we ensure that children’s individual programmes are delivered consistently. Our focus is to provide a safe, stable and nurturing environment where young people’s skills and aspirations can be encouraged to develop.You will plan and support in a variety of activities, recently this has included African Drumming, trampolining, residential trips both in the UK and abroad, music and art therapyResponsibilities also include updating paperwork administering medication (training provided) and delivering personal care.The role also includes training in areas such as Safeguarding, First Aid, Health and Safety & Non-Abusive Physical and Psychological Intervention and will also begin the role by shadowing one of our experience team members.About you- We will consider applications from those with no care experience provided you are willing to learn and passionate about providing an exception level of care.- Candidates must be willing to undertake accredited courses within the time set- Candidates but me able and willing to work shifts that include evening and weekends.- It is essential that you have a natural respect of the individuality and dignity of those in our careThe SENAD Group is dedicated to equality of opportunity in all areas of work, education and care.
