Job Description

Short Term - 2 Month Temp assignment based in NewportDo you have an Admin background or Customer Service background and are you looking for Long Term Temp work for a large Public Sector Employer in NewportThis role is based within the Sustainability Team. The team sits within the People and Places Directorate and deals with the following functions:

  • Environmental Management
  • Physical Security
  • Business Continuity
  • Corporate Social Responsibility & Volunteering
  • Physical & Mental Wellbeing
The post holder will primarily be required to support the Corporate Social Responsibility & Volunteering and Physical & Mental Wellbeing functions. However, they may also be called upon to support other functions of the team during busy periods.This is a part time role (3 days a week) with one day a week attendance in office required. This is a temporary role that will last until end December 2023 with possibility of extension.Main duties
  • Assist the Wellbeing Manager to deliver the Corporate Social Responsibility Programme to ensure that we make a positive impact on society whilst delivering our services.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investigate and source volunteering opportunities for IPO teams and actively promote the CSR programme to staff.
  • Assist the Wellbeing Manager to deliver an active wellbeing programme for staff which provides physical and mental health support.
  • Support national campaigns and events and work with different charities to provide support and information for staff.
  • Provide support for the various wellbeing channels (staff counsellors. Mental health first aid team and staff led networks).
SkillsSupport will be provided to the post holder, but due to the short length of the posting the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate competence quickly in:
  • Confident oral and written communication skills
  • Collaboration with business areas across the IPO and externally
  • Organisation and prioritisation of tasks
