The role of the Logistics Manager at Safran Seats Newport is to be responsible for the management of operational activities within the logistics function and contribute to the delivery of the overall logistics strategy of SGB to ensure the delivery of commitmentsto all customers.Client DetailsSafran Seats are an international key player in passenger and technical aircraft seats. With over one million seats equipping the fleets of the major airlines (including AirBus and Boeing) Safran Seats is one of the worlds leading suppliers of seating forpassengers, crews and helicopters thanks to innovative and high added-value solutions.Description· Responsible for a team of direct reports.· Owner of HSE standards and working practices· Ensure line of sight and proactive management of workload per shift per work stream to meet KPIs.· Cross functional visibility of business, attendance and representation at organisational meetings.· Interaction with key external suppliers and 3PL · Ensure internal and external audits are passed· Being the lead, mentor and developer of the supply chain team.· Ensure a safe working environment and drive HSE culture leading by example, implementing daily, weekly audits on HSE as well as improvement plans.· Own and produce Logistics KPIs to assess performance vs target and communicate status to key stakeholders.· To ensure continuous improvement activities are conducted, reviewed and evaluated in area of responsibility with the team.· People management activities including conducting team meetings, providing updated date and information to drive best working practices for the team and individuals, employee management including but not limited to absence management, people development,employee relations and recruitment / selection.· Manage, allocate, evaluate a cross functional team in order to optimise operational resource.Profile- Working knowledge in key warehousing processes (multisite setup advantageous)- Previous team leadership- Experience of developing teams- Confident at delivering reports and communicate to all stakeholders- HSE Qualification- Excellent problem solving skills- Sound knowledge of internal LogisticsJob Offer- Competitive salary- Shifts are:Week 1 Mon - Thursday 0600-1400 Friday 0600 - 1200Week 2 Mon - Thursday 1400 - 2300 Friday 1200 - 1800- Bonus- 4 x Life assurance- up to 13% pension- Employee discountsThis is a 6 month FTC
