Job Description

Technical OperatorA world leader in the field of high-tech remote monitoring equipment for oil and gas applications has an exciting position available for a full-time Technical Operator based in Newport. The successful candidate will earn £18,000 - £21,000.Are you the right person for the jobIf you have the following, then the answer is yes!

  • Experience working with electronics is desirable but not essential
  • Ability to adhere to procedures and external standards
  • Computer literate; Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of IPC soldering standards is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge and adherence of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) requirements
  • Highly adaptable and flexible approach with a can do attitude
  • Attention to detail and quality is essential
  • Organisation and ability to work independently to a production schedule
  • Good written and verbal communication that is clear and persuasive
  • Good physical dexterity due to the nature of the work
What will your role as a Technical Operator look like
  • Kitting of material and assisting in inventory control and management
  • Manufacture and test our MERLIN and OSPREY products and accessories
  • Ensure products manufactured meet CE, UL, and ATEX standards and adhere to our documentation and processes
  • Test products to a designated test specification
  • Labelling, packing, and shipping of finished products
  • Keep detailed records in keeping with external standards such as ISO9001:2015 and EN ISO/IEC 80079-34:2018
