DevOps Specialist LeadSalary: £ 56,000 - £67,000Hybrid Working (1 day per week) - HQ: NewportWe are a public government organisation looking to modernise our core exisiting systems and expand our rapidly growing IT department. As part of the DevOps Engineering team you will be supporting our existing core business systems and our modern digitalend-end services. You will be working embedded in a delivery team across exisiting systems and delivery functions or working directly within the platform area, providing automation and guidance on DevOps methodologies & technologies. You will be working inan agile enviroment focusing on automating the development cycle, working with colleagues across IT to deliver DevOps solutions.Essential: Development in one or more of the following: (Python, Bash, PowerShell) Development in one or more of the following: (Java, .Net Core, C#) Experience with Terraform Experience with Docker or Azure container services. Strong understanding of DevOps principles and lifecycle. Excellent knowledge of CI/CD tools Experienced embedding automated testing tools. Understanding of tracking, risk, & performance tools Able to mentor and support junior talent.Desirable: Experience with Azure solutions: (Artifacts, Cloud infrastructure) Certifications or training in MS Azure, ITIL/ITSM Foundation, AgileBenefits: 27.1% employer pension contribution 25 days annual leave, increments 1 day per year.
