Are you a enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a can do attitude and a clear passion for working with children with SEN If so, then this Special Needs School in Newport would like to hear more about you!Reed Education have been working with this Special School for years and its one of our favourite clients to work with! It’s a mixed, 3-19 Special School that cater for children with a range of physical needs, as well as Autism. It’s a fabulous School withstate-of-the-art facilities, including therapy rooms, soft-play and sensory rooms, and a Forest Schools area.and it is very easy to get to too via car/public transport. We are looking for a full time Teaching Assistant to start ASAP within the Complex Needsside of the school to work with children who have physical disabilities. Experience in working with Celebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome etc would be useful.This school is big and have a huge number of pupils on roll – meaning they have a lot of staff and therefore lots of opportunity. We are looking for Teaching Assistants to either work with children with more physical needs so Manual Handling is preferred(although training can be provided), OR, those who have experience in working with Autism and are OK with sometimes challenging behaviour from pupils.A lot of the students here have varied needs and so we are looking for staff who can adapt, change, and vary the curriculum delivery. The School like candidates with a can-do attitude, and who really make an effort to engage their learners and get to knowthem on a personal level. This is not a school where you can sit back and relax!
