Job Description

A Sales Administrator is needed to join the team, on a full-time basis, at this leading exporter of engineering materials, based in Crosskeys, Newport.The ideal candidate would have an interest in practical applications within an office structure and would be involved in preparing quotations, processing orders, and building relationships with clients.They are looking for an enthusiastic individual who, preferably but not essentially, has some experience in sales/administration in an office environment.The selected candidate will be expected to work 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (8.30 am-5 pm Mon-Thu, 9 am - 3 pm Fridays).About the CompanyThe company was formed in 1985 and has since built up a substantial customer base throughout the world.   • Processing and managing sales orders and contracts
  • Assisting the sales team in preparing and sending sales quotations and proposals
  • Managing customer databases and ensuring accurate and up-to-date customer information
  • Handling customer enquiries, resolving customer complaints, and providing exceptional customer service
  • Liaising with suppliers/manufacturers and logistics, to ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery
  • Remaining organised with the administrative side of things by ensuring the customer receives the necessary documents in time for shipment arrivals.
Required Skills:
  • Good communication skills and telephone manners are essential
  • The ideal candidate would be highly motivated and able to work well as part of a team and on their own using their own initiative
  • French / Spanish skills, although not essential, would be advantageous
