Job Description

Rewind InspectorNewport£21,500 per annumHybrid working pattern, 37.5 hours per weekAcorn is recruiting for a Rewind Inspector to join our clients busy production team at their site in Newport. The Rewind Inspector will be responsible for inspection finishing and packing of printed reels ensuring they meet the customers specifications.We are looking for someone who has a good eye for detail, with a flexible attitude willing to assist in other departments as and when the needs arise.Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ensuring customers products are produced to the defined specification / standards.
  • Utilising a variety of rewinding / finishing machines to achieve these standards.
  • Conducting in line quality checks of customers products and recording these within the customer job bag.
  • Utilising in house computer software to book finished materials into stock and make available for other departments.
  • Assisting with team issues when required.
  • Reporting of machine / technical faults as soon as they appear.
  • Ensuring all HSE policies relating to the workplace, yourself and others are followed at all times.
  • Responsible for ensuring all of your own production is to the highest quality standards and adheres to internal guidelines and customer requirements.
Skills, qualifications and / or experience:
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic computing skills including excel.
  • Basic Maths and measurement skills.
  • Excellent Eye for fine detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
