Job Description

Production Quality Manager40-50kNewport, WalesAre you an experienced Quality Engineer with leadership experience Then this role is perfect for you.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work for a market leader and be responsible for promoting a culture of continuous quality improvement throughout the organisation with an emphasis on manufacturingThis would suit a quality professional with strong experience of working within a manufacturing or production type environmentKey Responsibilities:

  • Managing the internal quality KPI for all plants to guarantee solutions, using methodical approaches to determine requirements for escalating for each production unit
  • Ensuring all Quality assurance approaches are implemented and adhered to within the Production environment
  • Investigating root cause of non-conformances, identifying & ensuring implementation of corrective/preventative actions to continuously improve quality
  • Responding to customer complaints, implementing containment actions, carrying out full analysis, poka-yokes (error proofing), and implementing short-term and long-term countermeasures
  • Leading, engaging and motivating a team of Quality Engineers & Technicians and providing guidance & feedback in helping them to deliver their best and realise their full potential
  • Championing TPM/5S adherence & improvement through the audit process, ensuring the highest levels of housekeeping within the department are maintained.
  • Lead the Quality team in Continuous Improvement activities
Who are we looking for
  • HND/HNC or Bachelors degree in a technical field
  • Internal auditing qualification or higher (preferably IATF 16949)
  • Six sigma black belt certification is a desirable or a green belt with practical experience with related tools
  • Experience in a supervisory role is essential
  • minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with quality tools/methodologies
  • Experience working for a global manufacturing company in a matrix working environment
  • A strong manufacturing background gained in large automotive or general or engineering sector
  • Pc literate
