  • Production Manager position managing the production of various steel reinforcement systems such as: rebar, mesh, steel fabric, spacers, formwork, falsework etc
  • Producing schedules of work
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth running of operations
  • Holding team meetings regularly to stay up to date with how projects are progressing
  • Carrying out quality assurance checks
  • Managing the labour and recruitment for the department
  • Liaising with suppliers and negotiating prices
  • Attending managements meetings to provide reports for Directors
  • Implementing strategies to develop areas of productivity and efficiency to ensure that company targets are met
  • Ensuring all process and procedures are in place to support overall growth in the business
  • Overseeing a production team of 70 with 3 direct reports
The ideal applicant will be Production Manager - Steel Reinforcement with:
  • Must have experience within a Production Manager role, ideally within the steel, metal or heavyside material market sector
  • Highly organised individual with a systematic approach
  • The ability to resolve complex business problems
  • Must have extensive people management experience
  • Team leader and motivator
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Career stability
  • Must have excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • Organised, dynamic and self-motivated
