You must have strong electro-mechanical skills. Applicants will have a minimum of a HNC electrical/electronic engineering or equivalent.Before Covid 19 the role involved global travel, sometimes at short notice. 60% was based away from home for maybe 6-8 weeks at a time and the other 40% was office based in Newport involving report writing, assisting the R&D team for product improvementsand writing standard working processes which will be rolled out to teams across the world. Due to restrictions on travel, this has somewhat changed and they have restructured internally so it is likely that travel could reduce to 10-20% of your working time.The role will predominantly involve machinery installation and commissioning. The company design and manufacture bespoke machinery for a range of industries. Upon arrival on site, you will follow block diagrams/electrical schematics to assemble the machines.The assembly element of the role will involve running cables, connecting hardware and rectifying electro-mechanical faults. Once assembled, you will be responsible for electronic/electrical/mechanical testing and commissioning machines before handing themover to the customer.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company who are true specialists in their field.
