The more diverse we are, the more experiences we have to draw upon.Summary of the role This brand-new position provides the opportunity to bring structure, support and cohesiveness to IQEs Executive Leadership Team (ELT) who are responsible for running the company. IQE has appointed a new CEO, and it is an extremely exciting time as theELT position and manage IQE to continue to remain the leader in its sector. In this role, you will be vital to ensuring that the ELT operates efficiently and effectively, working closely with the ELT members as well as with the PA to the CEO.The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating and collaborating in a fast-paced, cross-functional and ideally global organisation where it has been necessary to simultaneously manage multiple senior stakeholders. As you will have a special focuson executive-level support and interdepartmental collaboration, you will need to be exceptionally organised and discreet with strong attention to detail and excellent influence and communication abilities. We expect the right candidate to be able to take theinitiative and to be a self-starter with the demonstrated ability to identify and seize opportunities without direction or oversight, handling matters that fall between the CEO and ELT.This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a high energy, forward-thinking company in a key role that offers great benefits.Key ResponsibilitiesAs a PA, youre often the ELTs first point of contact with people from both inside and outside the organisation. Tasks will include:

  • Devising/maintaining office systems, including data management, expense management, filing, arranging travel, visas, accommodation and external meeting rooms.
  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments, working in multiple time zones (US, UK, Asia)
  • Dealing with incoming email and post, often corresponding on behalf of the ELT
  • Carrying out background research and presenting findings
  • Producing documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff
  • Using judgement and initiative to act on items requiring immediate attention and knowing/learning when to check in with the ELT
  • Assisting other members of the Executive Board when required
  • Preparing communications
  • Organising, planning and often hosting meetings and events, ensuring there is the necessary equipment, refreshments etc.
  • Approving and booking holiday request on behalf of the ELT
  • Ad-hoc research to assist on a projects.
Qualifications / Essential Skills
  • Significant admin experience, ideally at C Suite level
  • Proven track record of working well under pressure and to tight deadlines with excellent time management
  • Ability to juggle tasks and priorities with forward planning acumen
  • Effective at working to a changing to do listprioritisation and managing conflicting schedules.
  • Professional, positive and engaging with a can-do attitude
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships, internally and externally
  • Working at pace while retaining accuracy
  • Discreet and diplomatic when dealing with highly confidential matters
  • Highly conscientious, Taking personal responsibility for organising tasks and priorities without undue delay
  • Completer/finisher
  • Diary management experience
  • Excellent IT Skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Common sense and practical approach
