Job Description

Opportunity for a mechanical maintenance engineer to work days Monday to Friday and earn an excellent salary and benefits package. Our client is a well-respected, financially secure manufacturing business that offers excellent working conditions.As the mechanical maintenance engineer, you will work closely with the maintenance manager on-site and undertake a varied role helping to shape and deliver a robust planned preventative maintenance (PPM) system while also helping to plan, manage and executemaintenance-focused projects.Duties for the mechanical maintenance engineer will include:

  • Ensuring mechanical integrity and reliability of equipment
  • Creating planned maintenance strategies and managing the PPM system
  • Planning, scheduling and managing the execution of maintenance projects
  • Ensuring a full awareness of all relevant legislation
  • Reading, interpreting and checking technical drawings and engineering diagrams
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
  • Management of the engineering spares programme
To apply for the mechanical maintenance engineer, you will need:
  • A degree-level qualification in a relevant subject
  • Experience of working in a heavy, industrial, process-driven environment
  • The ability to read engineering and technical drawings
  • Experience with managing maintenance projects and contributing to the delivery of a PPM system
