Job Description

The RoleAs an IT Support Apprentice you will be working within a fast paced environment being the first point of call for their internal users. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work within a large corporate organisation and build their technicalabilities.Weve partnered with ILS Training to deliver an 18 month Apprenticeship in IT, Software, Web and Telecoms and youll receive on the job training from day one combined with our responsibility to help you develop and progress.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
  • Maintain internal IT support function/helpdesk to users across BBI locations
  • Provide 1st line support, logging and responding to tickets/calls raised
  • Configure and build computers and laptops to company standard
  • Set up or adjust users workspace, including network cabling
  • Supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems and MS office 365 desktop applications
  • Administer and maintain user accounts using windows AD
  • Manage basic data restoration
  • Administer desktop computers, laptops, printers/photocopiers and VOIP telephones
  • Provide in-situ training to users of company applications
  • IT Asset management
  • Ensure and maintain IT security systems including staff training and awareness
RequirementsAs an IT Support Apprentice youll be required to have A-Levels in an IT discipline. Well be unable to accept applications with a higher discipline in IT. The apprenticeship includes the following qualifications:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals
  • Level 3 Certificate in ICT Systems and Principles
  • Essential Skills Wales Level 2 in Communication
  • Essential Skills Wales Level 2 in Application of Number
  • Essential Skills Wales Level 2 in Digital Literacy
