An exciting and challenging opportunity for an IT Project Manager to work on a hybrid basis for a major employer in the Newport area delivering IT solutions to clients.This role offers a superb benefits packageYou should be adept at managing projects in a largely outsourced environment.You will need to work at all levels of the organisation, experienced with handling multiplerequirements and stakeholders, all whilst successfully influencing key decision makingto ensure the project is initiated and delivered within the required time lines.You will work closely with IT Business Analysts and key business sponsors and stakeholders to support project definition, to initiate, plan and deliver projects and reporting progress tracking to plan.Key Accountabilities* Take ownership of IT Projects and ensure delivery to time and budget* Manage any external tender selection event with the procurement team.* Support investment sign off helping to shape project business cases with a concisesummary, costs, associated risks, time lines, and any associated financial forecasting;* Have Project Management implementation experience, bring able to control and deliver aproject to time and cost to contractual agreement.Technical Know-How & Skills Needed* Considerable IT delivery experience, specifically in terms of project & portfoliomanagement, delivering projects of varying complexity* Project implementation expertise* Demonstrable financial ownership of projects in a variety of different contractual situations* Contractual/Commercial awareness and experience in successfully devising contracts thathave demonstrably enhanced supplier delivery* Process and Governance design and implementation expertise* Vendor and customer managementQualifications* Degree level education* Prince 2 Practitioner or equivalent Project management qualification highly desirable* Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or equivalent preferablePlease Apply ASAP
