Job Description

I am recruiting on behalf of a leading hotel in the Newport area who is seeking an F&B Controller to join its finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling F&B goods throughout the hotel, from Receiving to Sale.Main duties of the role to include -

  • Responsible for controls involved in the movement of F&B goods throughout the hotel, from receiving to sale.
  • Monitoring revenue achieved from sale of F&B items throughout the hotel.
  • Carries out spot checks of individual bars and kitchens including single function stock takes.
  • Responsible for receiving and accounting for all incoming F&B items in the hotel.
  • Controls and is responsible for procedures relating to issues from Stores
  • Devises strategies for the minimisation of waste and ensures resources are used efficiently.
  • Monitors cost prices, price comparisons, updating relevant spreadsheets.
  • Produces monthly reports and suggests actins to be implemented in order to improve profitability.
  • Co-ordinates month end stocktakes, liaising with external stocktakers as required.
  • Responsible for updates of systems as required.
  • Investigates any discrepancies in F&B costs.
