Job Description

Seneca Bridge are working with an industry leading environmental consultancy business with clients across a multitude of sectors. Using their expert knowledge base, laboratory services, project management and statistical analysis they are able to providea quality specialist scientific support across various areas guiding clients with their projects.We are looking for an Environment Manager to work with a key client providing support ensuring environmental matters are measured and managed throughout their projects. The successful Environment Manager will also be central in implementing strategies andtargets as well as sharing best practice.Responsibilities include;

  • Provide expert environmental knowledge and technical expertise across construction projects of varying scales supporting the business in meeting all relevant environmental legislative requirements.
  • Ensure that environmental surveys and evaluations are monitored and undertaken as required.
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure legal compliance to applicable legislation is adhered too.
  • Provide technical advice and support to employees to manage relevant responsibilities.
  • Provide support for pollution prevention and incident investigation.
  • Provide advice and guidance to gain legal consents, licenses and exemptions.
  • Undertake technical checks and assist with key environmental documents.
  • Organise and deliver environmental training.
  • Liaise with key industry stakeholders.
Required Skills;
  • Chartered Member (or working towards chartership) of an environmental institution e.g IEMA, CIWEM
  • Degree level in appropriate environmental discipline or relevant industry experience
  • Experience working with designers and construction leads on infrastructure projects particularly in the water industry.
  • Preferably four or more years industry experience
  • Full driving license
As an Environment Manager the workload will be varied consistently driving and implementing environmental improvements in a fast-paced environment on a full time secondment working with the water and construction industries.
