Acorn is currently recruiting for an experienced Digital Printer to join the Production team at our clients site in Newport, The successful candidate will join the Digital Team in a thriving manufacturing hub where they will operate a new HP 6900 with silver and metallic capabilities to produce high quality Labels. You will be responsible for efficiently operating the digital printerensuring output targets are achieved. We are looking for someone with an excellent eye for detail, with the ability to work in a fast pace environment and maintain high levels or accuracy at all times.Key responsibilities:* Setting up, operating and maintaining our new HP 6900 digital printer * Ensuring that the area, equipment and machinery are kept clean and tidy and in accordance with the relevant procedures during shift* Responsible for ensuring that all products made, and all quality checks are carried out in accordance with laid down quality and standard operating procedures* Liaising with reprographics, quality and finishing departments to ensure output is of the highest possible standard* Ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental Policies relating to your work area are adhered to by you at all timesSkills, qualifications and/or experience:* Experience in Digital Print* HP Level 1/2* Excellent eye for detail* Able to differentiate colours, to read and check small copy* Previous label printing experience (Desirable)Company benefits:* £30,000 per annum plus 24.3% Shift Allowance * 25 Days holidays + bank holidays * Pension scheme * On-site car parking * Annual salary increasesPay: * £37,290 per annum* £30,000 plus 24.3% Shift Allowance* Breaks are paidHours:* Double Days* Shifts of 0530-1330 / 1330-2130 / 2130-0530* Double days have a 5.5 hour day on a Friday* Nights have a 5.5 hour shift on a Sunday* 37.5 hours in totalAcorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
