Job Description

Im currently seeking X3 experienced DevOps Engineers to work on long in a support capacity across a large VMware/Scrum Environment, client based in South Wales (Blackwood) - Remote based until Covid Risk Reduced***NOTE this is a ITAR Programme and candidates MUST be British Born to gain the level of clearance required***Essential Experience:

  • Technical
  • Ansible
  • Scripting - Groovy, Powershell, BASH
  • Query using Artifactory
  • SystmAdmin - Good Levels of Vmware required
  • Scrum
  • Taking Scrum Session
  • Story Writing - Technical Architect
  • Technical Advise on POs
    • Environment Overview:
  • Experienced at working in a Scrum environment
  • Competent in Software Development, Integration and Test - depth of experience in some areas and breadth of understanding across the discipline ,
  • Experienced in the following engineering tools or equivalents: Jenkins/Jenkins Pipelines, Artifactory, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Team Concert, Git/GitLab, VMWare vSphere, Dell Storage, Infrastructure as code (e.g. Ansible) automated deployment, scripting tools (e.g. groovy, bash, powershell).
  • Ability to generate well-structured technical documents and manage through a review process to achieve release to committed deadlines.
  • Ability to present at progress and system reviews and contribute productively in the team and with external UK MoD and other stakeholders
  • Understanding of software architectures, and design patterns
  • Defect investigation and root cause analysis
  • Knowledge and understanding of testing of software installations on Windows environments
  • Previous experience in understanding areas of concern with respect to software installation and configuration
  • Web Technologies (e.g. OData, HTTP, TLS, and REST)
  • Testing and deployment of software on Windows 10 and Server 2016
  • Artefact organisation, storage & retrieval in (or equivalent)
  • Working in virtualized environment
