Job Description

Salts Central Government client requires a Azure Infrastructure Engineer ideally with an existing SC Clearance for a 6-month, fully remote project.Contract length: 6 months with possible extensionFlexibility: Fully remote, maybe once a month onsite in South Wales but nothing set in stone.Requirement: Successful candidate must have resided in the UK for 5 years or more so the SC clearance can be processed.Key skill: Must have strong proficiency in MS Azure, Terraform and Azure DevOps.Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Terraform to effectively manage cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles, with Terraform as the primary tool for managing, creating, and deleting cloud resources.
  • Demonstrate experience in application infrastructure deployment and application management within the cloud, utilizing Terraform.
  • Work with Azure DevOps to streamline cloud-related development and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of cloud solutions and support the organizations objectives.
Qualifications and ExperienceThe ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Extensive experience working with Microsoft Azure and Terraform, with a demonstrable track record of successful cloud infrastructure management.
  • A deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practical experience with Terraform as a coding tool.
  • Proven experience in deploying and managing application infrastructure in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for effective development and deployment processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work within a dynamic team and meet the objectives of Central Government.
