Job Description

Job Title: UI DesignerLocation: NewcastleSalary: Up to £25KOur client is one of the largest and fastest growing on-line print shops in the UK. Theyre looking to hire a UI Designer. The UI Designer will be a specialist in delivering great intuitive experiences, which solve real problems which help increase conversionand support the design team in creating stunning content.This role will be beneficial for candidate who is keen to expand their skillset and roll out data driven design across all company channels. Those who thrive on variety and are keen to learn and contribute will love this role.Responsibilities:

  • Design of UX/UI wireframe and prototypes.
  • Design of content for marketing collateral.
  • Optimise performance for web-platform on mobile phones, tablets and computers.
  • Publish content using CMS.
  • Support your own ideas and crafting designs with input from customer insight, analytics, brand, and validated with real users.
  • Design print ready artwork.
  • Identify areas for improvement and challenge established thinking.
  • Create user personas, map out user journeys and site maps.
  • Conduct user research and testing.
  • Write reports and communicate the results of your work.
Requirements
  • Strong creative and technical ability in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Solid experience in translating concepts into wireframes, prototypes and user flows using specialist tools such as Axure, InVision, Marvel, Visio or Sketch
  • Solid knowledge of user-centred design principles and data driven design
  • Experience in Google Analytics
  • Experience in analysing test results and identifying success
  • Understanding of html and css
  • Proven experience in an agency or in-house design team
