Job Description

Technician required to carry out Electrical maintenance on trains, to ensure relevant maintenance, repairs and installations completed.The SituationWorking for a large global organisation that provide state of the art rail solutions for countries around world. You will be required to complete Electrical maintenance, repairs and installation to trains; as well as mechanical duties when required. This willsuit an individual who enjoys a hands on, varied shift.This is a hands-on role and may involve completing both Electrical and Mechanical repairs and maintenance.This role is a 12 month contract role, working permanent nights, consisting of a shift pattern, for this role you must be flexible.The Candidate

  • Previous experience of completing electrical upgrades and repairs to vehicles; including, trains, buses, HGV, marine or aviation
  • Excellent understanding of electrical schematics
  • Willing to get involved with mechanical duties when they arise
Essential
  • NVQ Level 3
  • Previous experience of repairs and maintenance to vehicles.
Desirable
  • Previous rail experience
