This is an exciting time to join Depaul UK. We have a fantastic new opportunity for an interested individual to join our team of professionals working alongside young people and empowering them to live independently. You will join the teamas Support Worker at our supported accommodation in North Tyneside, on a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent basis. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £19,804 Per Annum (FTE) Plus Pension and Other Benefits.Depaul UK works with some of the most disadvantaged young people in the UK. We specialise in working in communities where poverty and long-term unemployment have resulted in generations of social exclusion and high rates of homelessnessOver the past 30 years, we have grown as an organisation and developed and enhanced our work and the impact it has across the UK. Depaul UK has a wide range of services for young people and adults at risk of homelessness.The Support Worker Role:As Support Worker, you will take joint responsibility for the well-being and day to day support of all clients in the services by managing a small caseload of young people in the supported accommodation.You will handle key tasks including support planning, risk assessment and move-on for the residents. You will ensure that their tenancy is not at risk and that they have the skills and resources to manage and maintain their accommodationYou will work in collaboration with other team members to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all our clients, volunteers and staff in the service.This job is rota based that requires working with young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless. It also involves working with shift work pattern to include daytimes, evenings, and weekends, to ensure that our clients have full staff supportduring their most difficult times.Upon appointment to this role, your job title shall be referred to asProgression Coach.What will ideally support your success in this roleYou will have excellent communication skills and be committed to the values and ethos of Depaul UK.
