Job Description

Pearson Carter are working with a client whoDesign workwear for a multitude of companies from catering to builders. They Work with Renault, Tata Construction and others companies across the UK and EU.They are looking for an IT Developer £25K - £35KResponsibilities

  • In the main, we create products using PowerBuilder, C# and the latest frameworks including .Net Core. We’re looking for an ambitious software developer to join us in a support desk capacity.
  • You will need to demonstrate imaginative problem solving skills and the ability to create solid maintainable code. We also expect the successful applicant to be able to communicate clearly and professionally with our clients as well as team members. Clientcontact is an important part of the role, since you will be expected to be in day-to-day contact with our customers. We already score highly with current customers’ satisfaction based on the quality and responsiveness of our support, our friendliness, andthe fact that customers can talk to someone who is technically equipped to quickly answer questions either based on their knowledge or looking at the code. We are therefore looking for someone who is friendly and approachable as we already have great relationshipswith our customers. The projects here are extremely varied yet we primarily focus upon developing and expanding the footprint of our PowerBuilder authored “MasterGov” suite of products. We are currently converting the product to Microsoft .Net Core and C#,but the primary implementation is still PowerBuilder enhanced with .NET ancillary Windows Services and websites. Approximately half of your time will be spent on PowerBuilder, the other half being C# .Net. You will find yourself involved in systems scopingand specification production, R&D, billed system modifications and client support.
