Senior Transportation ConsultantNewcastleMy client are an award winning Consultancy who deliver first class transportation planning design, advice and input on a wide variety of projects throughout the UK and abroad. They work with a number of local authorities and government organisations, privatedevelopers, house builders, housing associations and education providers.Due to another increase in workload their Newcastle office is looking to add a skilled and experienced Senior Transportation Consultant to work on and support some of the most innovative and exciting projects in the UK and internationally.You will be an integral part of their team of transportation professionals, delivering a broad range of services to public and private sector clients, within areas such as Masterplanning, Transport Planning, Development Planning, Traffic Modelling and MicrosimulationModelling (vehicles and pedestrians).The role will involve a wider range of activities beyond just the technical, including day-to-day management of project tasks, supporting senior colleagues in marketing of the Practices services, supporting junior colleagues in technical tasks, which willprovide a sound basis for further career progression in the future and support the teams growth. You will be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline (civil engineering/transport planning) and gained substantial experience within a transportation/transport planning role based in a relevant consultancy/local authority environment. You will alsohave experience of the development planning/modelling process in the UK and a working knowledge of National Transport Policy, and UK local authorities with particular reference to TfLs policies.As well as a working knowledge of TRICS and TEMPRO, you will have a working knowledge of survey methods and analysis and traffic modelling software such as Junction 9 and LinSig.
