Job Description

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join our dynamic team!GSL Education is in search of a Science Teacher who is devoted to delivering exceptional education at our client schools in Newcastle. These schools take pride in fostering a welcoming environment that engages, challenges, and motivates students to reach theirfull potential.The Head Teacher is particularly interested in candidates who exhibit a genuine passion for their subject and can demonstrate strong behavior management skills in the classroom.   • Planning, teaching, and assessing the Science Curriculum
  • Demonstrating confidence in teaching KS3 and KS4 Science
  • Selecting and requisitioning appropriate books, instructional aids, and school supplies as needed
  • Adhering to the schools behavior management policy effectively
  • Promoting independence among students
  • Providing an exceptional level of safeguarding and pastoral care
  • Taking responsibility for student attainment
  • Managing individualized learning plans for pupils with SEND and SEMH
The Ideal Candidate will:
  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
  • Possess a degree in the subject area
  • Showcase passion for the subject area
  • Welcome applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
  • Demonstrate a proactive, energetic, kind, and caring approach
  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to undergo the process with us)
  • Provide a fully checkable work history
