Job Description

We are looking for a Risk Lead who will work with our Risk leadership team to maintain and enhance our second line risk framework.Effective risk management is key to delivering on our forward looking strategy and this role provides the opportunity to build knowledge and insight across a wide range of risk competencies, including Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, Conduct Risk and Operational Resilience to cite just a few.Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk you will be required to coordinate the collection and presentation of Management Information from across our Risk function to support the Group’s risk reporting and governance arrangements. You will gain experience of risk management practices such as horizon scanning, risk framework planning and risk reporting through the compilation of management reports for internal and regulatory purpose.We are looking for someone who is able to work both independently and as part of a team, an effective communicator, with strong attention to detail and a proven ability to work to deadlines.This role provides the opportunity to build knowledge and experience of a broad range of risk management practices, in return we are looking for someone who is keen to take ownership for their personal development and will seek to add value to our risk team through effective support, collaboration and teaming.About UsThe Risk team sits within the Society’s second line of defence and covers Operational Risk, Prudential Risk, Conduct Risk, Operational Resilience, IT Risk and Health & Safety.We maintain a risk management framework through effective oversight, support and challenge of risk identification and control across the Society.
