Learn more about us and the role: Area – North (covering northern England, Scotland & Northern Ireland) - You should ideally live in the North-East of England/Southern Scotland, having easy access to the M1 & A1M motorwaysPackage – Competitive Salary + Company Car + Bonus SchemeCould you be our new Regional Merchandising ManagerDo you have a passion for retail and people managementAre you looking for a new role where you can really make a difference in a well-established and supportive teamWhat about working with bright, creative, dynamic, and constantly evolving greeting card and gift wrap products Sound interestingThe RoleWe have an exciting opportunity to join the UK Greetings Merchandising Division in a field-based regional management role.Reporting to the Head of Merchandising, you will be responsible for leading a team of 11 territory managers, with responsibility for operational planning, service excellence & KPI performance within your region, with the key elements being: -

  • Day to Day Management of Territory Managers – Effectively managing, motivating, coaching & supporting all territory managers within your region. You are a key point of contact for the team and therefore regular travel across the regionis essential, including visits to Northern Ireland.
  • Operational & Service Excellence – Directing the territory management team to ensure the highest possible display standards & levels of service are achieved at all times.
  • Territory Logistical Planning – Supporting & directing your team to manage highly effective territories in terms of route planning, store coverage, and agility around resource allocations (peak seasonal planning).
  • KPI Management & Reporting – Effectively monitoring performance levels against agreed KPIs for each territory within your region, particularly in the areas of merchandiser call compliance, activity implementation deadlines & recruitment.
The Candidate:
  • People management is at the heart of this role; you should have experience of leading a successful field-based team and are a natural leader with outstanding interpersonal, management & mentoring skills.
  • With a proven retail operations background, you are highly motivated & results orientated;youll encourage innovation and change, in order to maintain an extremely motivated, empowered & effective team.
  • An independent and forward thinker, who is exceptionally organised & can work well under pressure.
  • You have excellent communication skills & can create a positive & open environment for your team.
  • You are a natural problem solver, who continually looks for ways to improve operational standards & KPI performance.
  • You will have experience of working within a fast-paced retail environment (ideally field based), with good commercial awareness.
  • You should be a proficient user of Office 365, with a keenness to learn and adapt to new technology on an ongoing basis.
